Entrepreneurship, economic development, and infrastructure investment are the keys to turning the Negev into a place where people can work, earn a living, and enjoy a great quality of life.
Because employment is the main challenge facing potential Negev residents, the Merage Foundation - Israel is developing and promoting small business enterprises and encouraging and guiding new entrepreneurs. It is also designing professional training programs for the general Negev population in a bid to create a pivotal framework for business development, entrepreneurship, employment, and small business development. In partnership with cities, regional councils, and other organizations in the Negev, the Merage Foundation - Israel has also funded a professional public relations program to promote business, life, and culture in the Negev
