Pre-Discharge Program

Merage Foundations Israel sponsors workshops and counseling for Israeli immigrant soldiers to prepare them for civilian life in their new country. Topics include analysis of where they might live, goal setting and implementation, budget creation and management, and higher education opportunities. Important social issues such as inter-cultural differences in the job market are also addressed. Geared toward successful transition into civilian and building the Lone Soldier community, these programs are conducted in partnership with IDF, Gruss Foundation and Jewish Agency. To date, more than 850 people have attended.
